Are These People Really My Relatives?

We went to the annual Donnelly Family Reunion this year at Lake Brownwood. We knew it would be a whole different thing to take a baby, but Payton did great!! He was the youngest family member there which was kind of neat. Although I can't say he was the smallest! There was a set of twins there that were 6 months old and only weighed about 12 lbs a piece!!

It was VERY hot so we stayed inside during the day, and he did a lot of napping! Here he is sleeping in my arms:

He also got to go swimming with Daddy in the kiddie pool that nanny brought. It was so nice to cool off and relax! It was so sweet of Daddy to get in with him while mommy ran around and took a million pictures!! Karsen also swam, here's a few pictures:

It was a fun weekend, and Payton did absolutely great. We were grateful to have Kori there to help out in the evenings so that we could have some "adult" time, and still know that Payton was in good hands. It was nice to share Payton with some family members that hadn't gotten to meet him yet and to meet other new babies that we hadn't gotten to see yet either. It's crazy to think that at the reunion last year, we hadn't even though about trying to have a baby yet. I hadn't gotten hired at my teaching job yet, and we thought we'd have to wait a lot longer to try. And here we are a year later with sweet Payton in our arms!!! We are so truly blessed by our sweet little family!!
