2 Month Dr. Appt.

Well, your 2 month check-up came right before you turned 3 months old. It was really hard to get you an appt due to Dr.'s on vacation and all the kids getting physicals for school. I was NOT looking forward to you getting shots!!! Here you are peacefully asleep when we got to our room. We gave you Tylenol in the waiting room and you passed out!!: Here's you and your Daddy, I was so glad that he got to be there!:

I undressed you carefully and talked to you about being strong:

You weighed in at 19.8 lbs!!!! You are a strong and healthy baby boy!:

Mommy's getting her workout lugging you and your carseat around!! :)

You were also 25.5 inches long and your head measurement was 17.75. Your weight was in the 99th percentile, your height was in the 95th percentile, and of course your head was in the 99th percentile as well!!! But the Dr. said that was nothing to be concerned about, that you are healthy and happy and developing well!! You were able to show her you could hold your head up, and she was very impressed with you!

Here you are all sprawled out waiting on the Dr. I think you could sense something was up by how nervous Mommy was! Good thing Daddy was there to keep us calm!!:

I read you Dr. Seuss books to pass the time, you just looked and looked at all the bright and fun pictures. :

When the nurse came in to give you your shots Daddy held your hand and mommy stayed by your head to talk calmly to you. As soon as she did it your little eyes just got huge, then you turned red, and then you screamed! And, Mommy cried right along with you. It was everything I could do to wait till she was finished so I could scoop you up and comfort you. But as soon as Daddy made your bottle you were okay again. We were really glad that you didn't have any side effects from the shots. You really weren't fussy or anything after the fact.

That night we had a nice relaxing bath and a special massage from Mommy to relax you, here you are in your sweet robe- looking like you're ready for a day at the spa!:

So we go again on September 20th for your 4 month shots, and I hope that you are just as strong as you were this time!!!! We love you little one!!
