Painting my life away

Well, at least that's how I feel when I get on a kick to get a room finished! I started working on the cabinet doors at 11:00 Saturday morning and didn't stop until 6:30 that night.... and all I got completely done were 3 drawers and 5 doors! It takes forever to treat the doors with mineral spirits, and ammonia, then rinse, then 2 coats of primer, and finally two coats of paint! It's CRAZY! But it really feels good to have at least some of the doors back on heres what it currently looks like:We also finally finished draining the pool this weekend, we have been draining it every evening for WEEKS! It was really gross though, and needs to be patched and repainted so this is a good opportunity. It will be all sparkly and clean for all the family to enjoy this summer! Here's a shot so you can all see how GROSS is was, the little bit of water left in the deep end is what the ENTIRE pool was full of! YUCK! I am powerwashing it on one of my "breaks" from painting. Can't wait to have our first pool party and bbq to show off the end result!!! Thank you to Papa for letting us borrow his power washer, it worked WONDERS!!!

Also, here is a picture of me and Paige from her play she starred in at ACT a few weeks ago, she was adorable and MADE the entire production. You've gotta love her as a platinum blonde! :)

And last heres's a cute picture of Grandma and Zoey at the garage sale, we apparently wore Zoey out!
Anyway, Chad and I are continuing to work hard on the house. We ordered new granite countertops for the kitchen and are really excited to see everything falling into place. I feel so blessed everytime I sit down and think about everything Chad and I have and are able to do, in our lives and at our house. Sometimes you have to sit down and be grateful for what you do have rather than to dwell on what you haven't got. We have come so far in this past year and in the time we have been married. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who puts up with me when I get on a kick and feel like ripping something apart or simply just repainting. Also a big thank you to my mom who always takes the time to come over and ohh and ahhh to encourage me and keep my spirits up when I've gotten in over my head and am discouraged. Anyway, I'll keep everyone updated on the kitchen can't wait to post the AFTER picture!!!
