Kitchen cabinets are supposed to have doors???

Well, I have been painting away in our kitchen this week, it's time to get those doors back on!! Yes, the doors that I took off 3 months ago are STILL not back on! We had procrastinated because we thought we were going to have to sand everything before painting, and weren't ready for the mess. But when I was looking for what grade of sandpaper, I found some Zinsser primer that said you sould use it and NOT have to sand! So I thought what the hey, it's worth a try at least! It worked beautifully!!! Here is a picture of half of the cabinets done and half not done so you can see the difference that it makes. So I have worked every evening this week and now have all of the cabinets primed and painted....mind you I said cabinets...not doors!! So now this weekends project is to prime and paint the doors and drawers! I seriously have forgotten what my kitchen looks like with all the cabinets put together!!! It will be perfect timing for the new granite countertops we just ordered!!!!!! And yes, we will be ripping up the tile that we JUST laid on them! We are however keeping the backsplash, so it's not a total loss! We just decided that our bathroom countertops look so pretty with the granite that it was a shame our kitchen wasn't up to that level, so we picked out some beautiful brown and black speckled granite that I can't WAIT to see installed!!!

Chad and I spent last weekend at Larry Joe Taylor with some family and friends. It's a HUGE outdoor concert that goes on for 5 days right outside Stephenville on a ranch. People start camping out in RV's and tents...or the ground in some cases... and there are all kinds of concerts that take place all afternoon and evening every day. So we stayed in his Uncle Jerry and Aunt Susan's RV with them and had a lot of fun! Here's a picture of us before we went to see the concerts on Saturday night.

So this weekend Chad is excited about playing in the Bilbo golf tournament and I will be at home painting!! haha! Well, love to all and I will post again soon, I've GOT to get better at updating this thing!
