Our 2nd trimester begins!

Well, we have begun our second trimester as of Monday, and I think our little one was confused at first, because I started throwing up again on Sunday, and then had to take Monday afternoon off because I threw up all over the faculty bathroom! But, things have begun to improve again, so maybe the baby is realizing that this is when those things are supposed to get BETTER!

I also think it helps that I have figured out what foods are okay to eat, and what foods are more likely to come back and visit me later!! Some things that I have missed are pizza and eggs. I can't do pizza because the acidity of the sauce is too much, and eggs...well that's just one of those things that won't go down even if I try!!! Last night we went with my grandma and her cousin Billy to dinner and I ordered fish.... it came to the table so greasy that Chad and I both knew there was NO WAY it would stay down, so I ordered a sandwich....and it tasted funny so I ended up sharing Chad's chicken fried steak and potatoes!! I am so glad that he is so patient and understanding. We have paid for multiple meals out that either upset my stomach, or I was magically full by the time the food got there!!! He just laughs and we box it up and take it home!

I thank God every day that I have Chad next to me to go through all of this with, without him I would go crazy. He is so patient and loving, and I never feel like I am going through this alone. He has taken over a lot of the housework, and often makes me dinner while I take a nap. I know that there are nights when he would like to go out or go play poker, and he does...but some nights he knows I'm just not feeling good, and he chooses to stay home and just lay in bed with me. He listens to me complain when I don't feel good, and reminds me how much he loves me. I know that he is going to make a fantastic father, and I can't wait to see him holding our precious little angel.

We got all the blood work done this week and are ready to go back to the Dr. on the 16th and hear our little one's heartbeat again! Other than that we are ready to get started putting wood floors down in the nursery and all the other details that we can get done before we find out if it's a boy or girl. When we find out in December...it's SHOPPING TIME!!!! I can't wait to see our babies nursery come together and be just as precious as little Baby K!!!
