15 Weeks and Counting!!

Well, we saw Dr. Tadvick again yesterday. We got to hear our little one's heartbeat, it slowed down from last time and is now 156. Chad does a really good impression of the sound the babies heart makes! :) He prescribed Tagament for the massive heartburn and acid reflux that I have been having, that ought to help with the throwing up that is still occuring a few times a week. Then I got the H1N1 shot...and it burned!! They refridgerate it....so it was a little uncomfortable!! Then, since I had already been poked once, we went and had my blood work done to see if the baby is at risk for Down Syndrome or Cystic Fibrosis. It takes a couple of weeks to get those results in, and he said no news is good news!!! So we won't see Dr. Tadvick again till the last week of the year, by then we will know if it's a GIRL or a BOY!!!

After the Dr. I headed to Kohls to do a little Christmas shopping with Rachel and Roo. Roo picked out and gave us the babies first outfit, it even has a matching towel!! Thank you Roo and Rachel!! I know the baby will look adorable in it!!! I am so blessed to have ya'll share my excitement!!

Another cute thing we have recieved is a pillow that snaps together to be a stuffed animal! Mom...or should I say Grammy picked this cute little bumble bee up for little Baby K at Christmas Carousel 2 weekends ago:So little one, look at the goodies you have recieved!!!! And, I don't even have a picture of all the stuff that Mommy and Daddy have stashed away for you already!!!

It amazes me how many hours out of every day are spent thinking about our little one. What can I do to make myself better to be the very best mommy I can be? I am so grateful for those people in my life that share my level of excitement. I realize that the baby is still so small, I am only showing a little, and that we don't know the gender yet. So it's not as "real" to some people as it is to Chad and I who talk about and share the experience every single day. It's frustrating when not everyone shares the level of excitement and enthusiasm that we feel day in and day out. So it makes me so very grateful for those people who take the time to show thier happiness and to share in our excitement. I was litterally brought to tears yesterday when a certain someone texted me about the baby on our way to the appt. It was just so nice to know that someone not only remembered what time our appt was, but shared in that excitement with us.

I can't wait for the next 5 weeks to fly by so that we can find out what it is, and shop till we drop!!! Chad and I asked some family members for Lowes cards for our birthdays, and have recieved a few and some cash, so we are going to take all of that and begin on the floor in the nursery!!! Hopefully by the time we find out what we are having the floor will be in and we can start decorating!! Plus...between that and the holidays it will keep us busy, and help 5 weeks to pass quickly!!!

I want you to know how excited I am for you. You are carrying a miracle inside of you. This baby is going to be so loved and I can't wait to watch you as a mom. My heart just swells thinking about it. I remember so clearly when you and Tyler were little. I just loved you to pieces. I really didn't want for you to learn to walk just so I could carry you everywhere! You have grown to be such a talented teacher, wonderful wife, and great mommy.

Always know that this baby, no matter how small right now, is a treasure and a gift from God. He or she is going to bring so much joy to your lives. I can't even remember what life was like before Ryan came along and count my blessings for his presence in my life. Add Emerson to the mix and I am abundantly blessed.

Lots of love to the 3 of you!
