9 Months

Little man, you are growing and changing so fast. We have hit that mark where you are becoming less of a baby and more a little boy. It is sad and thrilling all at the same time!!!


When we took you in for your 9 month check-up you weighed 28 lbs and were 30.75 inches long! In the 95th percentile for both, and just perfect!

You are back to your regular and wonderful sleep schedule. You are sleeping almost 12 hours a night- which is SO nice for Mommy and Daddy!

At your 9 month appointment we expressed concern that you weren't interested in anything but baby food. Anytime we gave you table food or even puffs you would gag. He told us not to be concerned at all and to just keep trying. It was like you heard us talking to him and decided to prove us wrong!! You started eating puffs and green beans the next evening!! No choking or gagging- you did great!!

Then of course Mommy went crazy at the store stocking up on all kinds of new foods for you to try, and neat bowls that suction cup to your tray. It's just so fun to share new things with you!!

You also started holding your own bottle and sippy cup! It's so nice to be out and about and have you be able to hold your bottle in the stroller by yourself! You LOVE drinking diluted juice from your sippy cup with your food. You look like such a big boy drinking out of it, and you are so proud of yourself. You also really enjoy chewing on the top of it- it makes neat squeaky noises and feels good on those teeth!! You have your 3 front, bottom teeth poking way through- and the 4th front one is SO close!! No top teeth yet!


My very favorite skill that you learned this month is waving bye-bye!!! It is absolutely precious and literally made me cry the first time you did it. I wonder what kind of mess I'll be when you take your first steps!!! It is so sweet to get your little waves when I leave for work in the morning, those sweet little waves have almost made me late quite a few times recently!!
It has been a wonderful and fun month little man. I find myself rushing home from work to pick you up from Mrs. Kay and get you home to play. You are army crawling all over the place and we will be chasing you all over the place any day now. We can't wait to see what month number 10 brings!!
