10 Months- How Time Flies!!!

Payton, I cannot believe that you are going to be 10 months old tomorrow!!! In 2 short months we will be celebrating your FIRST birthday!! You have been a super busy little boy this month exploring and trying new things, and we have enjoyed sharing in your experiences and chasing you around. That's right- I said chasing... you are officially CRAWLING!!! You are getting into all kinds of new things, and you really enjoy racing over to turn the tv off and on, or the DVD player on so your movies will start!! No more leaving you in the floor to play while we are cooking dinner or changing a load of laundry- because you won't be there when we get back!!! You are also eating like a CHAMP!!! You have tried all kinds of new solid foods, and are a HUGE fan of all kinds of puffs!!! You make silly faces with the yogurt bites, and also like green beans and peas a lot. We have also given you cut-up raviloli, banana, mashed potatoes, and much more. It is fun to see you try new things and decide whether you like it or not. When you see us eating something you want you will make over-exageratted chewing motions to let us know you want a bite.
We started brushing your teeth, and you are so good at it!!! We have a neat little finger brush and you open your mouth and let me or Daddy clean them every morning and night.

You also learned to clap this month- which is adorable! We will say "YEA Payton" and you will just clap and grin. Clicking your tounge and making a popping noise with your lips can also be added- it is so cute when you mimic us, and you really enjoy making those noises in the car when you're bored! When you learn a new skill it is so exciting for you and for us, it is so fun to watch you grow and develop from day to day. I love this happy picture of us before I was leaving for work one morning- you are seriously the happiest baby I know. Family members and friends comment all the time about how sweet and happy you are and how lucky we are that you are so content and hardly ever fussy. I know you will have your moments as you grow older, but we just hope that we can raise you to be a sweet, well-mannered, and happy little boy. I'd say we're off to a good start!!! :)

And here's you and your Daddy about to head off to Mrs. Kay's- ya'll are quite a pair, and I love you both more than words can even express. I am so grateful that Daddy took on the job of delivering you to Mrs. Kay every morning, I've only had to do it once- and I cried all the way to school! I much prefer to pick you up!!! Daddy has learned to be much more of a morning person, and we have a pretty good routine down so that I can get in a little Payton time, and sneak in a few kisses before I head off to work.
