Today is my last day of Christmas break, and I am spending it taking care of sweet Payton. He has been sick the majority of the break, and it has been miserable for all of us. Chad absolutely wins the Dad of the Year award. There were nights when Payton slept for 2 hours, and Chad was up driving him around, playing with him, and feeding him. And even when Payton screamed and cried for hours Chad never lost patience. Here is a photo I took while we were sitting in the steamed up bathroom together to help his breathing:

It was so hard to see him so miserable and not be able to make him feel better We were both frustrated, but only because we couldn't figure out how to fix it, and we knew our sweet baby was in pain.
When we were FINALLY able to see the dr he said it was bronchilitis again, and said that Payton needed to go ahead and start breathing treatments since Chad and I both had asthma as children. Here is Payton taking his first breathing treatment at the doctor's office:

He was so sad and pitiful looking!! About two seconds after this picture he began screaming and fighting us. It was all we could do to get him to finish the whole thing. I'm sure we looked like quite a sight- dancing singing, talking in goofy voices, anything to distract him an get him through it. We are hoping he gets used to them soon since we are having to do them every 4-6 hours!! Here's the cute nebulizer that the doctor's office sent us home with, meet Margo Moo:

She even has a barn shaped bag, oh so stylish! :)
So today it's just me and my little man, who's currently sleeping (and wheezing) in my arms. I will be so glad when he's feeling better, I miss his sweet smiles and laughter!!
And shout out to Daddy- we love you and are so grateful for everything you do. You are my hero, and I am so lucky to have someone to lean on. You are such an involved Dad, and you are hands down the best dad I know! Love you lots!!!
