Here's Chad and I putting the pieces together:
Here we are with Pops working hard:
So glad that we had Rachel to help us out with all the cutting! We were ALL worn out after a LONG day of laying floor...especially Pops! :
As soon as we found out it was a boy we decided on bedding (which was surprisingly easy!) Chad and I both fell in love with the same one the very first time that we saw it! It is very classy, and doesn't have a theme, so it will go with a lot. Here's a photo I took of it at Kids Village:
Once the bedding was chosen, I went and bought the pillow so that we could match paint colors at Lowes. We chose the perfect shade of green, and it was time to get busy!! We have had LOTS of help from Aunt Rachel and Uncle Justin, and Pops. We are so glad to have them come over and help, and I personally enjoy talking all things Payton with Rachel! We bought no VOC paint, which means no "Volitile Organic Compounds". This is supposed to be safe to use while you are pregnant and isn't supposed to release anything harmful as it dries or after it's dry which is better for sweet Payton! I started painting before Christmas break was over while Chad was at work one day. Here's a sweet message I painted and sent him when i was just getting started:
It took a few hours, and three coats to get it perfect, here's what Chad saw when he got home:
We were going to put up crown molding and wainscoating, so I was lucky to not have to do any cutting it. Then Rachel, Justin, Rylee, Cutter came over to help with the wainscoating. Here's Cutter helping Uncle Chad measure:

And me overseeing:

Today, the same crew came over. Rachel and I finished all caulking and cutting in, fixed the outlets, and installed the fabulous new 2" blinds that I had ordered a few months ago. While Pops, Justin, and Chad worked on re-doing the closet. The closet now has two rows of hanging space on one side and shelves from floor to ceiling down the other side. Perfect to put away all the clothes that Payton has already collected!! So tomorrow Rachel and I are going to paint inside the closet, and then we can move in all the beautiful furniture that we have bought!!! We have been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY, but there are only 16 short weeks till our sweet little man arrives!!!
