Anyway, after Dr. Tadvick, I said goodbye to Daddy and headed off to do my glucose test to test for gestational diabetes. I had to drink a big glass of a really sweet orange drink and then come back in an hour for blood work. Now, I won't lie, I was REALLY worried about the orange stuff! I had heard MANY horror stories from other mommies who had been completely grossed out and even thrown up from drinking it! So I very slowly took my first sip and... IT WASN'T bad at ALL!! Totally overrated!!! I thought it tasted like Sunkist! So I drank it up and headed off to watch the epidural film during my hour wait.
Having to watch the epidural film was WAY worse than the orange stuff...but still not as bad as I had pictured it was going to be! It was 10 minutes long, and listed all the worst possible things that could go wrong, and actually showed them giving a woman an epidural. I figure when the time comes though, I'll be in so much pain it won't matter. Plus I will have your amazing Daddy there to hold my hand. I can get through anything as long as he's by my side.
Other than that little one, I have just been sleeping as much as possible. It's already getting harder and harder for me to sleep at night, so I try to take naps when I can sneak them in! It makes me wonder how sleep is going to work in a month or two when you are REALLY big! You are already up to 2 pounds, and I'm sure are cute as can be! You have your very own set of finger prints, fingernails, and should be opening your little eyes this week. Time has really flown by and I can not wait to meet you in about 15 short weeks. We love you little one!!
