So fun to Think About

Well, we are in our 12th week now, almost through our first trimester!! Hopefully I will have more energy once we reach the 2nd one! I am glad Chad and I purchased a REALLY comfortable bed before we got married because I feel like I have been LIVING in it!!! I swear there are weekend days where I spend maybe 3 hours out of it. I think I just go, go, go all week long, and it takes me all weekend to recover...then we start all over again on Monday!

Our little one is about two and a half inches long, and weighs about 1/2 an ounce now! It's amazing to think about the little baby that is taking shape inside of me. Chad and I were out getting donuts on Saturday morning before Rylee's soccer game and he said "you know what I can't get out of my head?" I expected him to say the Toby Keith song that had just been playing in the car. Instead he said "The whooshing sound of the babies heartbeat during the sonogram." He even immitated the sound (and pretty well I might add!) We are both just so in awe already of what we have created, and so excited to share this journey together. Our baby is constantly on our minds. Our little one's sonogram picture has already become our desktop and cell phone wall paper, you know just in case we forget for one second the miracle that is currently taking place in out lives. Plus, it's an opportunity to show it off whenever possible!!

I am also counting down the weeks until we get to find out whether we will be blessed with a son or a daughter. I am back and forth on what I think it is, and Chad says he hasn't really thought about what it is too much....but I secretly think he does! I dreamed a lot in the beginning that it was a boy, but when I heard the heartbeat for the first time, something inside my heart said girl....so I'm really not sure! I just can't wait to start planning everything and for our little one to finally have a name!

Other than that we are going to Oklahoma this weekend to go on a guided fishing expedition on Lake Texoma. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to fish and I am really excited to go! I really haven't been nauseous since I switched to Flinstone Vitamins and stopped taking the prenatals (at the advice of Dr. Tadvick), so I think as long as we pack plenty of snack foods that I should do fine!
