I would like to ask for prayers for a close friend. A girl I graduated high school with and grew up with since kindergarten is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life as her 4 year old daughter recovers from brain surgery at Cooks Hospital in Dallas.
Her daughter Chloe' was diagnosed with Rassmussens, a disease that affects 1 in every million people. It affects only one hemisphere of the brain and will not stop until it has destroyed it. Yesterday Chloe' underwent an almost 12 hour surgery called a hemispherectomy where they removed the left hemisphere of her brain. This is the only way to stop the disease, and give Chloe' a chance at a somewhat normal life. She is in ICU now surrounded by family and friends.
They say that in a young child that the other side of the brain should take over for the part that was removed. She should be able to walk and talk, and lead a somewhat normal life. The entire town of Albany and so many others are praying and thinking of Chloe' non-stop.
Please Pray for her and for her family as they all hold their breaths to see how Chloe recovers. I can't imagine a child having to endure this, or a family either. Please pray for little Chloe' and her family: Cari, Jon Tom, Justin, and her brothers Huffman, and Houston.
