I just couldn't say no...

Well, you just never know when you wake up how your day is going to end. I got done teaching yesterday and called Chad, like I do every day. The conversation went something like this:

Me: " Hey, you texted me and asked me to call, what's up?"

Chad: "Oh. nothing, just working", ... (and then some random rambling)

Me: "So that's why you wanted me to call?"

Chad: "Well, I was on Craiglist..." ( about this time, I know something is up)

Me: "Ok...."

Chad: " Do you think Duke needs a girlfriend?"

Me: ...(thinking) "it depends is this girlfriend going to live with us?"

Chad: "You have to see a picture of her...she cute..."

Well, I got to Toro and looked at the picture, and I called Chad who was e-mailing the owner back and forth with questions. And, before I knew it we were off to Brownwood yesterday evening to see her. Chad was like a little excited kid. This was the dog he'd always talked about wanting, and his face was lit up with excitement.

We got there and met the dog that they called Roni, she was cute and we talked with the owners about all the details about why they were getting rid of her, and so forth. Chad then pulled me aside to make sure I was okay with taking her home. I couldn't say no. I am a lucky woman and I don't have a husband that asks for much. So when he really wants someting there's no way I can refuse... So, without further adieu, meet Paisley:
Chad is thrilled and has taken excellent care of her so far, he is just thrilled to finally own the english bulldog that he has been dreaming about for years. She's so ugly she's cute. Duke seems to really like her, he was REALLY excited at first, but once we assured him that we still love him too he warmed up to her and even gave her kisses on her forehead:
We haven't introduced her to Hoss yet, he's a little too crazy and we want to let her get used to us before we subject her to crazy Hoss. So wish us luck as we all get to know each other!!
