Thankful for Family

Well, I haven't had time to write in a while, so I figured I'd better get on here and get to it before people give up and quit checking for new posts!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and were grateful that everyone planned each Thanksgiving on a different day so that we could enjoy each and every one of them for the first time scince...EVER!!!

We spent Thanksgiving Day with Chad's family at his Aunt Wanda's house. We ate lots, and visited with Amy and Brian's (Chad's cousin's) new baby Patrick. We also watched the Cowboys, played cards, and planned out our shopping strategy for the next morning! Then we all had a sleepover at Terri and Andy's house so that we could wake up together at 3:00 a.m. (yeah, I'm not kidding!) and hit the stores! We started at 4:00 when the doors opened, and then were off to Wal-Mart, followed by Home Depot. Home Depot was CRAZY! They had these 200.00 pre-lit Christmas trees marked down to 50.00, and they only had 10 of them....and there were about 50 people outide who wanted them! Chad and I ran in to grab the 4 that our family had requested, and managed to do so surprisingly! As we were being yelled at by some crazy woman I shoved one into my cousin Brad's arms and he took off, I thought we were going to be trampled! But, other than that the rest of the day was pretty un eventful, we got everything we set out for, and had a lot of fun just hanging out with family.

Then after being awake since 3, and shopping all day, we set off to have Thanksgiving with my side of the family. We ate lots of yummy food, and visited with everyone, and enjoyed all the new babies. Then, of course, what did everyone want to do???? SHOP!! So we headed back into town to catch any further deals!!! By the time Chad and I got to sleep that evening, we had been awake for almost 24 hours straight!

But, it was a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I am now fully recovered and back in GO MODE to get things done on our new house. Our new countertops were installed on Monday, and now we are attempting to finish tiling the kitchen countertops, it really makes a BIG difference in my opinion, and it feels SOOO GOOD to get things done!
