Shed a little light on ...the hallway!

Well, we spent this weekend working on our house. I have gone into a little bit of a frenzy because I want it to look nice for the holidays, so I am trying to pick up the pace a little bit and get things in shape. Mom came over on Saturday and helped me tackle the hallway. We painted the ceiling (yuck) and then painted the walls the ever popular ponytail. What made it worth the work was getting to pick out new lights, they look great and Chad did a great job installing them. We also got a new doorbell, which for those of you who heard the old one...was much needed!! The old one played some jingle that was VERY dated and way too long! Now we just have the basic DING DONG chime that normal houses have.

Even though I hate popcorn ceilings, I have regretted and cursed scraping all of ours off at one time. Painting ceilings stinks!!!! I can paint walls and trim, but you have to paint the darn ceilings first, and it makes me an even bigger procrastinator!!! But now on our completed list when it comes to painting is our bedroom, master bathroom, office and hallway...we still have a long way to go! The office/playroom (for the numerous nieces and nephews) is next on the list. So wish us luck!!

We are having Dalton over for dinner tonight to visit and hang out for a while. I don't get to see him near often enough, so it will be nice to see eachother. We are also waiting around for Cameron to decide to join the family, she is late in her arrival, but that is normal for a Haley!! We are hoping to hear the good news and meet the little princess soon! I know her mom and dad are insane with anticipation!

Other than that teaching is going well, I get lots of compliments and am hoping it leads to a full-time position before the end of the school year. I'll write again soon!
