2 Months!!!

Well little one, another month has flown by!! You continue to be such a happy and sweet baby. You are still working very hard at holding your head up for extended periods of time, even though you HATE tummy time!! You are weighing in at 17.5 pounds!!!! So you are a heavy little thing to haul around in your car seat!!! But you are happy and healthy, and that's all that matters!! It drives Mommy crazy when all people can say about you when they meet you is "he's huge", or "look at those rolls", or something else along those lines. You are absolutely perfect, and I'd take a chubby baby over a skinny baby ANY day!!! Chubby babies run on both Mommy and Daddy's sides of the family- so there was just no escaping it!!

You LOVE your bouncy seat, we have to haul it everywhere with us!!! You are still sleeping in the pack and play in our bedroom, although we did move you down to the next lower area. We can still make it vibrate under you, which is a key to getting you to sleep!!! I worry that when we do make the move to your crib that you will hate it because it doesn't vibrate!! The move to your own room needs to come soon, but even though it is two feet from our bedroom door- I feel like it is a MILE away!!! As you have gained more and more control over your arms you will rub your face and eyes with your little hands to attempt to wake yourself. So we tried swaddling again, you hate being totally confined, so we just wrap your arms up tight against you and let your feet be free. It works like a charm! You can't rub your face or scratch it while you sleep!!

You still love your play mat, and we spend time every day playing on it and "talking" back and forth. You also like to lay on your giraffe nap mat and stare up at the fan, which is funny because I loved fans when I was little too! I love that you are such a laid back baby. We can run errands, shop all day, or go visit whoever, and you are just happy as can be! As long as we don't run out of food for you- you are absolutely fine and can run around for hours and hours!!

As for sleep- when you are on your schedule you are sleeping as much as 7-8 hours in a row at night, which is GREAT!!! Your schedule does get messed up occasionally when we are on the go so much, but even then you only wake up once and eat, then go back to bed. I love when I come to pick you up out of bed in the mornings and you smile up at me and giggle!! It is such a great way to start the day!!! You are FULL of sweet smiles all day long, especially when you hear Mommy or Daddy's voice or see one of us. Here are a few shots of you on your 2 month birthday:

You amaze us each and every day as we watch you grow and learn little one. Time is flying by too fast!! But it is so much fun to watch you grow and learn each day. We get so excited over little things like when you purposely make contact with one of your toys, or when you recognize one of us and your little face just lights up. We love you lots little one, and we can't wait to see what next month brings!!!
