Well, we survived our first 2 hour class last night at Hendricks. We have 2 more 2 hour classes to go, and then 2- 2hour breastfeeding classes. The class was REALLY informative and really gave us a better idea of what to expect when we go into labor. I'm not going to lie...it really made it all so much more real when I had to sit there and picture Chad and I going through each scenario. But, there's no one I'd rather have by my side, and it will all be worth it once little Payton is safely in our arms. We also had to watch a (really old) video of a vaginal delivary...GROSS!!! I have no idea what that woman was thinking letting someone video that, so that every childbirth class that has to watch it for the next 20 years can cringe and gawk at her most private parts!!! I have already forwarned my mom and Chad that there is to be NO cameras during that part of labor!!!!
I did think it was funny when during our break the nurse said that she would accept any questions if you wanted to come up and talk to her, and immediately many concerned DADS headed her direction while all the moms just sat calmly!
Funniest moment of the evening was after class as we were walking out:
Chad: Did you already pay for this?
Me: It's free silly
Chad: Sweet! I like this even more!!!
So, our next Dr. appt is Monday, and our next class is Thursday. The weeks get busier and busier as we prepare for little Payton to arrive in 9 and a half weeks!!!

Brit, the one thing I learned from those classes is that anything can happen. As long as you go into it knowing that you will do whatever is best for you and the baby, you won't freak out. I hope it will be quick and easy, and that Payton arrives with both of you healthy!
