Seems like our kitchen is going in reverse!

Well, last night we started ripping our kitchen countertops off in preparation for the granite ones that are being installed on MONDAY!!! The two of us worked so hard laying the tile countertops about 6 months ago, that is was kind of sad to rip them apart! But, we managed to not break any of them when we were prying them up, so hopefully we can reuse them somewhere!

We are keeping the backsplash, so we had to be careful not to break any of those tiles or cause them to fall off the wall. So we started by scraping the ugly yellow laminate off, then breaking the wooden base apart piece by piece.

So this is what my countertops have been reduced to:


NOTHING!!! I'm so ready to get the new countertops installed an see the finished result!!! Then it's on to ripping up the kitchen floor and laying some beautiful tile!!!

Other than that, we are off to Arlington this weekend for Mac's graduation party and the horse races. Congrats to Mac on his graduation, he will be going to A&M in the fall and he's really excited. We are excited to get out of town, see some family, and it's my first trip to the horse races, so I'm excited to check them out!
